What the Lorain Raceway Park website and app collect, why, and how to get it changed or deleted.

Last updated October 20, 2026

The short version

  • We only get your name, email or phone number when you type them into a form and send it.
  • We count page visits without cookies, without keeping your IP address, and not at all if your browser asks not to be tracked.
  • The app has no accounts and no ads. It only sends anything about your phone if you turn on race alerts.
  • We don't sell your information, show ads, or track you across other websites or apps.
  • Questions, or want something deleted? Email race@lorainracewaypark.com.

This policy covers lorainracewaypark.com and the Lorain Raceway Park app for iPhone and Android. “We” means Lorain Raceway Park, 9100 Leavitt Rd, Amherst, OH 44001.

Forms on the website

When you send a form, we keep what you typed, plus the page you sent it from, your IP address and your browser type. The last two help us stop spam and show when you agreed to something.

  • Send a message and Request a sponsor kit: your name, email, phone if you add it, business name (sponsor kit), your choices and your message. The track office gets an email about it, and you get an email saying it arrived. We use it to answer you.
  • Get updates: your email and, if you add it, your mobile number. If you tick “Text me race-day alerts”, we also keep the wording you agreed to and when. We use these only for track news and race-day alerts. Reply STOP to any text, or email us, to stop them.
  • Meet the racers (racer photo and bio): your photo, name, car number, division, hometown, your answers, social link, and an email or phone number. Nothing is public until track staff review it. We post the photo and bio on the website and social media only because you agreed to that on the form. Your email and phone are never shown. Ask us any time and we'll take your bio down.

To check that a person, not a robot, is sending a form, the forms use Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare looks at your browser and connection to do that, under Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy.

Counting visits

A small script on the website tells us which pages get visited and which buttons get used, so we know what fans look for. For each page visit it sends the page address, the name of the website that sent you (for example google.com, never the page), a campaign tag if the link had one, and how long the page took to load. For a click it sends only the kind of button: call, text, email, directions, tickets, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or a link to another website.

Our server adds whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer, and a visitor code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day, so we can count visitors without following anyone from one day to the next. Your IP address itself is not kept. The script uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It does nothing at all if your browser has Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control turned on. These counts are deleted after 400 days.

Other things the website uses

  • Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when the page loads. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Our web server keeps routine technical logs, which include IP addresses, for security and fixing problems. They are kept for a limited time.
  • Links to tickets, maps, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube take you to those services, and their own privacy policies apply there.

The Lorain Raceway Park app

The app has no accounts and no ads, and it doesn't track you across other apps or websites. It never asks for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts or photos. Directions open your maps app; calls and emails open your phone's own apps.

  • If you turn on race alerts, the app sends our server your phone's push address (a random code from Apple or Google, passed through the Expo push service), whether it's an iPhone or Android phone, the app version, and which topics you follow. That is used only to send you the track's alerts.
  • Turn alerts off in the app's Notifications screen and the push address is deleted from our server. If you delete the app instead, we stop sending to it once Apple or Google report it gone.
  • Kept on your phone: a copy of the schedule, racers and inbox, so the app works without signal, plus your look and alert choices. Deleting the app removes them.

Who else sees it

Track staff, and the companies that run the website and app for us: our web host, our email service, Cloudflare (form checks), and Expo, Apple and Google (app alerts). They handle it only to provide those services. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We would share it only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Visit counts: 400 days. App push addresses: until you turn alerts off. Form messages, signups and racer bios: as long as we need them to answer you, send updates or show your bio, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

Email race@lorainracewaypark.com or call (440) 550-7223 to see, correct or delete what we have about you, to stop emails or texts, or to take down a racer bio. We'll answer within a few business days.

Kids

The website and app are for race fans of all ages, but they aren't aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you're under 13, ask a parent before sending a form. Parents can email us to have a child's information removed.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
